The Alkimia restaurant is a ‘must’, according to the travel experts and restaurant critics, with its light and minimalist interior design and the finest Catalonian cuisine around. Barcelona is coloured with the art and architecture of the famous Antoni Gaudí, who created many of the city’s most unique features that inspired the world. Sagrada Familia is a stunning catholic cathedral that dominates the cityscape and is unmatched by any other religious structure in the world. Totally unique, it takes inspiration from gothic and art nouveau architectural designs, much like other buildings in the city. Sagrada Familia is still under construction today as artists are determined to fulfil Gaudí’s vision.

Stroll or cycle the city’ streets and you’ll come across many other buildings designed by Gaudí, such as La Pedrera and Casa Batlió. You can also head to Park Güell for amazing views over the city and unwind with a picnic on the world’s longest decorative bench with its colourful mosaics.
