What Is Redbull X Fighters World Tour

The Red Bull X Fighters World Tour is somewhat of a Spanish phenomenon and has flirted with venues in Valencia and Madrid but seems to have found its spiritual home in the latter. Having taken a break since 2017, the event is set to come back bigger and better this year.

Founded back in 2001, the event is undoubtedly the biggest and best in the global dirt bike calendar, with participants entering from every continent. Riders are invited to compete through a series of intense knockout rounds before battling it out for the ultimate title of champion.

Plaza de Toros Las Ventas

When Redbull X Fighters World Tour is held in Madrid, it takes place at Plaza de Toros Las Ventas, or Las Ventas for short. A famous bullring, situated in the Guindalera district of Salamanca, the venue is perfect due to its impressive capacity and the atmosphere that is generated when it’s full of dirt bike fans.

As a day out and about away from campus, we think it’s pretty much perfect and gives you a chance to soak is some exhilarating sport and also typical Spanish culture.

Las Ventas can hold around 23,000 spectators, one can imagine the amazing vibe that is created when riders are performing back flips in this historic bullring. You can find out more about Plaza de Toros Las Ventas and the events held there by heading to their great website.
